Professional
Training
IWRC
is the leading developer of professional training for
wildlife care providers, in North America and abroad.
As a non-profit organization, our primary goal is to educate
our members, colleagues and the public on matters related
to wildlife care and conservation.
IWRC training courses are developed and peer reviewed
by professionals who excel in their fields. Veterinarians,
biologists, biochemists, nutritionists and scientists
from related fields work together to bring you the most
current and reliable information available. |

Distance
Education
Because
so many wildlife rehabilitators are in remote areas and
without access to traditional classroom training, IWRC
has developed a new, powerful online training program.
This program allows more rehabilitators greater access
to professional continuing education.
At IWRC we feel interactions among peers, as well as with
experts in the field, are of critical importance. With
that in mind, we developed our online courses to be live
and instructor led -- Just like traditional classroom
training, without the traveling and all of the related
expenses.
For those who are unable to attend the live sessions,
or have concerns about the stability of their internet
connections, we have added an archive feature -- Each
course is recorded and archived so registered participants
can view them afterwards. While we feel that live interaction
is important, we hope the archive feature will make these
training courses even more accessible, especially to those
outside of North America for whom the time difference
would otherwise be limiting. |

Our
Instructors
IWRC training courses are facilitated by
highly skilled instructors with real hands-on experience.
They help us deliver the latest information and protocols
to over 800 wildlife rehabilitators each year. And now
with the development of online training, this number is
quickly growing. |
