Professional
Training
IWRC is the
leading developer of professional training for wildlife care
providers in North America and abroad. As a non-profit organization
our primary goal is to educate our members, colleagues, and
the public on matters related to wildlife care and conservation.
IWRC
training courses are developed and peer-reviewed by professionals
who excel in their fields. We work with veterinarians, biologists,
biochemists, nutritionists and scientists from related fields
to bring you the most current and reliable information available.

Distance
Education
Because so many
wildlife rehabilitators do not have access to traditional classroom
training, IWRC has developed a new, powerful online training
program that will allow more rehabilitators greater access to
professional continuing education.
At IWRC we believe interaction between peers, as well as with
experts in the field, are of critical importance. With that
in mind, we developed our online courses to be live and instructor-led
- just like traditional classroom training but without the traveling
and other related expenses.
For those who are unable to attend the live sessions, each one
is recorded and archived giving participants the opportunity
to view them after the live session has ended. This also allows
participants the ability to review the material presented in
class as many times as needed to understand the concepts. While
we feel that live interaction is important, we hope the archive
feature will make these training courses even more accessible,
especially to those outside of North America for whom the time
difference would otherwise be limiting. |
