The IWRC Bylaws define the Board of Directors as follows:


3.1 General Powers. The property, affairs and business of the Corporation shall be managed by the Board of Directors (Directors). The Directors shall in all cases act as a Board, and, except as otherwise expressly provided by law, the Articles of Incorporation or the Bylaws, all such powers of the Corporation shall vest in the Board, and the Directors may adopt such rules and regulations for the conduct of their meetings as they may deem proper.

IWRC has a maximum of 15 Directors, and a minimum of 8. The IWRC Executive (Officers of the Board) consists of the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. The Executive is responsible for carrying out the normal business of the Board, subject to approval by the full Board. Board terms are three years, and Officers are elected by the Board of Directors for two years.

Normally, the Board meets three times per year (one of them is the Annual Conference,) although they are in touch by e-mail and telephone daily. All Board positions are volunteer positions.
