In 1972, a consortium of rehabilitation organizations in California’s Bay area came together to share experiences and resources.[more]
 
 IWRC Mission, Goals and Bylaws
There are many ways to "preserve and protect wildlife and habitat;" the founders of IWRC chose to preserve and protect through the support of wildlife rehabilitation. Wildlife rehabilitation provides unique insights into issues affecting wildlife populations, species and habitats, and contributes to wildlife conservations and protection worldwide.[more]


Office and Staff  
The IWRC administrative office is located in San Jose, California, and our staff includes the Executive Director, Program Manager, and Program Assistant.
Board of Directors  
The IWRC Board of Directors is responsible for the management of the organization. Directors are elected to a three-year term. [more]

IWRC Committees operate "at the discretion of the board," and tend to focus on particular areas of the organization, like Membership, International, and Publications. [more]
